How to feed it, how long it lasts and what it costs
- Recommended: one level 35ml scoop (32g) a day for a 500kg horse
- Maintenance: half a scoop (16g) a day, or one scoop on alternate days

How is Glucosamine Free different from Premium?
It's made without glucosamine. Because of that, each scoop has more MSM (17,216mg), chondroitin (3,228mg) and hyaluronic acid (323mg) than Premium.
Is it suitable for laminitic horses?
It's made without glucosamine, which many owners of laminitic, insulin-resistant or Cushing's horses prefer to avoid. As with any change to the diet of a horse with laminitis, please check with your vet first.
How much do I feed?
One level 35ml scoop (32g) a day for a 500kg horse, or half a scoop (16g) a day for maintenance. You can give two scoops a day for the first 7 days as a loading dose.
How long does a tub last?
At the recommended dose of 32g a day, a 500g tub lasts 16 days, 1kg lasts 31 days and 2kg lasts 62 days. At the maintenance dose they last twice as long: 31, 62 and 125 days.
Is it safe for competition horses?
It contains no ingredients on the FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List (checked November 2026). It contains MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), not DMSO, which is a controlled medication.
Can I give it alongside medication?
If your horse is on medication, is injured or has an ongoing health condition, please check with your vet before using this supplement.
Safe for competition horses
All our ingredients are natural and contain no prohibited substances. Contains no ingredients on the FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List (checked November 2026). Please note it contains MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), not DMSO. Developed in line with European Pet Food Industry Federation (FEDIAF) and National Research Council (NRC) nutritional guidelines.

Order cut-off times
- Orders placed before 12:30pm (Monday–Friday) are processed and dispatched the same working day.
- Orders placed after 12:30pm may be dispatched the following working day.
- Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next working day.
Next day delivery and weekends
- Orders placed for next day delivery after 12:00pm on Friday, or on Saturday or Sunday, will be dispatched on Monday.
- Orders placed before 12:00pm on Friday for next day delivery will be dispatched on Friday but may not arrive until Monday.
Free UK delivery
Free standard delivery is available on orders over £54.95 to England, Scotland and Wales. This is applied automatically at checkout where eligible.
- Scottish Highlands & Islands: free only if the parcel weighs under 2kg (see below).

Safe places and delivery responsibility
If you request delivery to a safe place or a neighbour, this is done entirely at your own risk. Winston & Porter cannot accept responsibility for parcels that are lost, stolen or damaged after being left in a location you have specified.
Please add any delivery instructions at checkout in the “Add notes to seller” section (for example “With neighbour” or “In shed”).
Delays and courier issues
Once an order has been dispatched, delivery is the responsibility of the courier. We will always help to resolve delivery issues, but we cannot be held liable for delays caused by courier services, weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control.
International shipping
Customers are responsible for making sure the items they order comply with their country’s import regulations.
- 🇺🇸 USA: we send with Royal Mail International Tracked, and your shipping cost already includes all customs taxes and handling fees. No surprise charges on delivery, just the price you see at checkout.
- 🇦🇺 Australia: import taxes, customs duties and handling fees are not included in the shipping cost. These are charged separately on arrival and are payable by the recipient.
- For all other international destinations, customs fees, duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
- If customs reject or return an item, original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Returned international orders may be refunded for the product cost only, excluding shipping, or re-shipped at additional cost.
