🐾 What is the difference between the Max Strength and the Hip & Joint products?

Max Strength and Max Strength Plus are high-spec multivitamins and minerals combined with a powerful joint supplement. They're fed as a porridge — simply add water — and can be mixed into existing food or given as a standalone snack.

The Max Strength Plus also contains serrapeptase, a natural anti-inflammatory and pain reliever.

Hip & Joint Dog and Hip & Joint Dog Plus are pure joint supplements with high doses of essential joint ingredients. The Plus version contains serrapeptase in higher doses than Max Strength Plus. These supplements are best mixed into wet food for palatability.

The dog food market is full of confusing options — kibble, wet food, raw diets, supplements… At Winston and Porter®, we believe in transparency and science-led nutrition.

The Nourish + C range was developed after extensive research to cut through the confusion. Commercial dog food is often produced at high temperatures that compromise the nutritional content — reducing efficacy and bioavailability. Raw diets are great for protein, but widely recognised as needing supplementation to ensure balance.

Our supplements are suitable for all dogs and designed to complement any feeding regime:

We use human-grade ingredients, no buffers or fillers, and optimum levels of vitamins, minerals, essential oils, and amino acids. Every ingredient has a job to do. We're not off-the-shelf — we're innovative, and we care about your dog's individual needs.

⏱️ How long will a pouch of Hip & Joint Dog or Hip & Joint Dog Plus last?

It depends on the size of your dog. Here's a handy guide:

🐕 Small dog (0–15 kg) — 4.5g per day (also suitable for cats)

• 200g pouch → 44 days
• 400g pouch → 88 days
• 800g pouch → 177 days

🐕 Medium dog (15–40 kg) — 6.5g per day

• 200g pouch → 31 days
• 400g pouch → 62 days
• 800g pouch → 124 days

🐕 Large dog (40 kg+) — 13g per day

• 200g pouch → 15 days
• 400g pouch → 30 days
• 800g pouch → 60 days

📦 What sizes are available for Nourish + C, Max Strength and Max Strength Plus?

These products are available in three sizes to suit your dog:

• 1.2 kg — Small dog
• 1.8 kg — Medium dog
• 2.4 kg — Large dog

We also offer 5 kg and 10 kg sizes, supplied in brown paper recyclable sacks.

🥄 How do I measure out the right amount?

Every pouch or tub comes with an appropriately sized scoop inside, along with feeding guidelines on the label to help you get the correct amount for your dog or horse.

🔍 Help — I can't find the scoop in my pouch or tub!

Don't worry — the scoop is definitely in there! It sometimes falls to the bottom of the container, so have a good rummage first. If you still can't find it, get in touch and we'll send one out to you straight away:

🚚 Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! Orders over £54.95 qualify for free shipping, applied automatically at the cart stage.

Please note: free shipping is currently unavailable to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly, and all international destinations.

♻️ Is your packaging recyclable?

Absolutely! All of our packaging materials are fully recyclable, and we always try to use recycled materials where possible. For example, some of our internal protective packaging is made from recycled personal and business papers and cardboard.

🎁 Can I use my loyalty rewards on subscription orders?

Loyalty rewards and store credit can only be redeemed on standard one-off orders. As subscription customers already receive an exclusive subscription discount, rewards are reserved for regular purchases. Simply place a standard order to redeem your rewards at checkout.
